Friends of Long Marton School (FOLMS)
A Hello From All At "Friends"
"As our name implies, Friends of Long Marton School (FoLMS) is a group of people from the community, including parents, relatives and friends of pupils who support the school throughout the year. There is a committee who deal with the administration and organisation, but everyone and anyone is welcome to come and join in the activities and help wherever possible.
FoLMS raises funds for school but also organises many social events in the area. In the past year this has included a Big Breakfast, Scarecrow Festival, Christmas Fair and Sip and Paint event. The funds raised are used in a variety of ways to benefit all the children in the school such as supplementing the residential trips in KS2, paying for school trip transport and buying items for the school library. FoLMS also have a lottery where members of the school community can purchase a number for a monthly fee, this money is used for longer term items for the school such as new screens for the classrooms and new reading books."
