The 10th running of the Long Marton School Helm Wind 10K takes place on Sunday 19th April 2020.

The route, running along the Eastern Fellside of the Pennines, is an undulating loop with 8km on quiet country lanes and 2km off-road through Dufton Ghyll, giving beautiful views of the Pennines and across the Eden Valley to the Lake District. Starting at Long Marton School, the race passes through Knock and Dufton before finishing back at the school.
In addition to individual prizes, there are team shields for clubs and schools (three runners to count).
For children, trail races over 1.6km are held for 9 years and under (age on the day – parents welcome to run with younger children) and 3km for 10 years and over (age on the day) – prizes awarded to 5th in each age category for boys and girls with medals for all runners.
Children’s races begin at 1pm, with the 10k starting at 2.15pm approx. Parking is in the field adjacent to the school – please follow signs and do NOT park on the roads near the school.
Online entry £10 for 10k (£15 on the day if spaces available) - race limit of 200.
Online entry ONLY for 1.6k and 3k - £3.50.
