The gardening club has been so busy this term in preparation for the Cumbria Schools in bloom competition in June. Lots of jobs have been done as you can see from the pictures!
Summer term 2017
Vegetables have been planted including potatoes in tyres, corgettes, salad leaves, carrots, broccoli, leeks are to name a few.
The quiet area/sensory garden has not been planted with lots of herbs, colourful sweet smelling annuals and sensory furry plants!
Before half term, Janet from the Woodland Trust visited the school and was taken on a tour of the school by the Gardening Club Committee. The Woodland Trust are giving the school lots of trees to plant around the grounds. So watch this space!
